Update: Dec. 1 at 1:15 p.m.

Last night’s session included Adult Education proposals and an initial salary proposal for birth - 22 teachers.

Update: Nov. 10, 2023 at 4:45 p.m.

Last night’s session included revisiting the conversation about norms, with MPS presenting a counterproposal. MFT shared a presentation which advocated for using general fund money while MPS restructures spending, reducing costs on district administration and reprioritizing purchased service spending (including transportation) in order to fund the MFT contract.

Last night, MPS and MFT - Teacher Chapter participated in our second public bargaining session. At the last session we had an agreed upon agenda for the evening which was to include revisiting our norms, a financial presentation from the MPS bargaining team and time for the MFT Team to ask questions about the presentation.
